The latest QS Global MBA rankings have now been released, and two IIMs have featured amongst the top fifty global MBA colleges in the world, while a total of four Indian business schools have featured in the top hundred. Amongst Indian business schools, IIM Ahmedabad has emerged as India's top MBA college, followed by IIM Bangalore which has been ranked 50th by QS. Here are all the key highlights from the latest QS 2022 MBA rankings.
QS Global MBA Rankings 2022 - Five Important Highlights
- Amongst Indian business schools, IIM Ahmedabad has emerged as the leading management institute, ranked 46th. IIM Bangalore is ranked 50th, though it is ranked higher than IIM Ahmedabad for the 'Return on Investment' and 'Diversity' components. IIM Calcutta has come in at the 76th position, with a relatively low rating for ROI.
- Amongst Indian business schools included in the QS MBA rankings, SPJIMR emerges as the institute with the best rating for 'Diversity'. IIM Bangalore provides the best ROI, while IIM Ahmedabad is rated highest for 'Employability' of MBA grads.
- Amongst global business schools, Stanford GSB, HBS and the Wharton School at UPenn have emerged as the top three business schools in the world. Also amongst the top five are HEC Paris and MIT's Sloan School of Management.
- Amongst global business schools, London Business School provides the best 'Employability', Warwick Business School is the most diverse, while five European business schools including HEC Paris and IESE Business School provide the best 'Return On Investment'.
- Amongst the top ten business schools in the world, 50% are based in Europe while the other 50% are based in the US. Amongst the top twenty business schools, 60% are based in the US while the rest are based in Europe.
Stanford GSB, Harvard, Wharton Amongst The World's Top Business Schools, As Per QS MBA Rankings 2022
For the second consecutive year, Stanford GSB has been ranked as the number one management institute in the world, as per the latest QS Global MBA rankings. Stanford GSB has also been rated the highest for alumni outcomes (i.e. how many alumni are at top positions after MBA) and entrepreneurship. Harvard Business School comes in at second, and UPenn's Wharton School comes in at third.

Amongst the top ten business schools in the world, 50% are based in Europe while the other 50% are based in the US. Amongst the top twenty business schools, 60% are based in the US while the rest are based in Europe. Within Europe, the top management institutes are based in France, the UK, and Spain.
Amongst global business schools, London Business School provides the best 'Employability', Warwick Business School is the most diverse. European business schools including HEC Paris and IESE Business School take the lead when it comes to 'Return On Investment' offered. Canada-based Rotman School of Management provides the (relatively) lowest ROI amongst the top fifty business schools, while IIM Ahmedabad ranks the lowest in terms of class and faculty diversity. IIM Bangalore ranks the second lowest for the same parameter.
