“You are what you believe yourself to be”- Paulo Coelho.
The mind is an amazing entity. At the same time it is a terrifying one too. The art of living a good life depends on how we handle this one thing.
The greatest obstacle I have faced in my life is my mind. But the irony is that the cause is also the remedy. The journey from being an introvert to an ambivert was not necessarily a smooth one. While there were no external signs visible of what one was going through, the internal turmoil of trying get out of your comfort zone, to talk in front of people was still there.
The first step I did was talk to my best friends about it. And it turns out that conversations are always a great tool for better understanding. In spite of all the weirdness you may have there will always be people who will support you for who you are.
I have never been out of Kerala for education. Even during my UG I was a day scholar. So coming to Manipal, meeting entirely new kinds of people and interacting with them had been the next step I took in my life in order to explore the untapped potential in me which I am aware of but haven’t had the opportunity to use yet.
The key is getting to know your mind and use it well in accordance with whatever situations you are facing. Easier said than done but it’s not impossible.
