Hailing from Anjangaon Surji, a small town in the Amravati district of Maharashtra, Rishabh Devanand earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from the Government College of Engineering Amravati. Throughout his college years, he actively participated in various extracurricular activities, balancing committee responsibilities while maintaining a commendable CGPA. Rishabh, as a student, founded the Society of Automotive Club and a chess club, taking on the role of sports secretary for indoor games. He also led the engine and transmission team within the SAE Baja team of the college, showcasing his skills as both a team player and a leader. Rishabh Devanand approaches problem-solving through a methodical process, exemplified by his role in resolving a critical issue during a product reveal program at Mahindra. Focusing on defining, analyzing, and implementing solutions, his team's agility and collaboration ensured a successful outcome, earning him an Excellence award for leadership behavior in Agility. Handling failure, Rishabh adopts a karma-inspired mindset, concentrating on effort while acknowledging luck's role. He views setbacks as opportunities for improvement, emphasizing a rational, focused, and persistent approach. This outlook aligns with his belief that hard work attracts positive outcomes. In an ethical dilemma, Rishabh confronted unfair treatment of a colleague's work by a senior lead engineer. Choosing open communication, he approached his manager, leading to a resolution that acknowledged the friend's efforts. This experience emphasized the importance of addressing ethical concerns through constructive dialogue. As a negotiator at M&M, Rishabh led engine development projects, navigating challenges by emphasizing collaboration and setting clear goals. His ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and achieve tangible outcomes, such as documenting technical sign-offs, highlights his negotiation skills. Rishabh asserts that his leadership, analytical skills, passion for learning, adaptability, and global perspective make him a promising MBA student. From co-founding clubs to leading teams in various capacities, his experiences showcase a blend of business acumen, interpersonal skills, and resilience, positioning him for success in an MBA program and beyond.
