"Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis". Yes, that is a word. Now there can be three scenarios when you read the word. 1. You gave it a look and moved on to the next line. 2. You tried to break the word but couldn't do it so you moved on to the next line to see what the fuss is all about. 3. You did it.You broke it down successfully and now you google it to find the meaning. There is a fourth scenario as well where you already knew the word and the meaning but let us concentrate on these three scenarios for now. So to start with, the word is pneumono-ultramicroscopic-silico-volcano-coniosis and it is a type of lung disease. If you find yourself in the first zone then you need to slow down take a deep breath and try not to give up so easily because when you read the breakdown of the word you realized it wasn't that difficult. For those who fall in the second category are the people who start good and reach half the way through and then come back. And for those who fall in third, you guys know that you have to be this adamant all the times otherwise you might lose the castles you conquered till date. If you are reading this blog then I presume that you have given some serious thought towards the preparation of CAT and want to achieve your dream college's offer letter. It so happens that the division of CAT aspirants, more or less, falls in these three categories. And judging by the commonality of human nature we all fall in the first and second category at first. For those who fall in the third category have worked on themselves even when they were let down by a difficult RC and low mock scores. They did not give up and hence they were able to see some results. As for the others, how do we cope up with the demons that won’t let us move forward? The answer lies in one word, "CONSISTENCY".This quality can do wonders when maintained with a full commitment. Here is an exercise for all of us. We try and maintain "CONSISTENCY" for one week and then compare the results. Even if it is an hour’s sitting we do it without fail and compare the before and after results. We have to keep in mind that no article however good can motivate us in the long run. Small achievements and improvements are the biggest and the only source of motivation(read “keep going”). You have to keep in mind that getting sad on low mock scores is not an option for you. Difficult and Easy are two sides of the same coin. If we understand the base of a particular topic and the buildup on it, it becomes “easy” but if we pick out the most difficult problem in the book and brood upon our incapability to solve it then it stays “difficult”. “Being motivated”(read “keep going”) is the biggest part of CAT preparation. You have to keep in mind why you started and what all has improved since you started, in order to keep going. For most of us cracking CAT is not just and getting our desired college is not “it”, we do it because we want a sound sleep at the end of everything. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself,”Dimaag hai pressure cooker Nahi”.Don’t forget to focus on your hobbies and yourself. We achieve more when we keep calm and stress less about things. In the words of Sir Robert Frost:

“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

“Many” people give up in the middle and “Some” don’t and that makes all the difference. So keep going, at the end of the road awaits your dream with a bouquet of appreciation in its hand. ALL THE BEST.
