Tell us about a time when you messed up, and what you learnt from the experience?
I had messed up during a National event, but I tried covering it up as I had a good hold of the product that I was presenting to the judges.
Tell us something about yourself that others may be surprised to know about you.
I'm a problem solver and an enthusiast for solving real-time business issues.
What have been your two biggest successes in life? What did you learn from them?
- Representing India in an International Event: Always know your true North and give your performance accordingly
- Winning National Finals of Formula Student Event: those who want to walk far, they walk in a team.
Professionally, what is your ideal image of yourself five years from now? Where do you see yourself?
My immediate goal is to learn from the mentors and teachers in a reputed Business School to acquire the skill sets required to work for a reputed company. Connecting with peers and alumni of the college would help me raise the bars and give my best to learn and execute.Five years down the line, I would like to work at a mid-management level in the company. Fifteen to Twenty years down the line, having worked in the industry for more than a decade, I see myself aspiring to lead a company as a Chief Operating Officer due to the experience I would have accumulated.
What is the one skill or characteristic you possess that you are most proud of, and why?
I remain calm and composed under pressure and tend to perform well then. It helps me tackle difficult situations easily and gives me an edge over others.
In your opinion, what skills or qualities does a successful manager possess?
Patience and Vision
Tell us about an ethical dilemma that you may have faced, and how you resolved it.
When 300 Ather vehicles were out for delivery to different cities across India, and 28 vehicles were already delivered to the customer, a conflict was observed in the Wiring Harness on the Production line and hence we had to put the manufacturing line to a halt. As a Product Quality Representative, I had to identify the Root Cause for this issue. After analysis, it was found to be a critical issue that will affect the customer experience in near future. Our team made a call to do a rework on the wiring harness on all the vehicles that were delivered as well as the vehicles that were produced. Here, I had a dilemma between promised delivery date vs customer satisfaction and made the call keeping customer experience on a priority.
If you were the CEO of any company of your choosing, which company would you choose and what would your first action be as CEO?
I would love to Tesla and be in the shoes of Elon Musk, who is an inspiration for me. As a CEO, I would take Tesla's launch in India as a topmost priority
