This year, the number of questions was evenly distributed, with 36 in each category. However, the time limit for each portion was not the same. The cutoff for the NMAT is estimated to be between 208 and 210. Cutoffs for Language Skills might be anywhere from 55 to 57, Quant between 70 and 72, and LR between 60 and 62.The prior year's NMAT paper pattern had a few adjustments. In the year 2020, GMAC made some significant adjustments to the NMAT exam pattern, and these changes will remain in effect for the NMAT 2021 exam. The following are the major changes in the NMAT test pattern:
- From 120 to 108 questions, the total number of questions has been reduced.
- There will be 36 MCQs in each of the three sections of the NMAT exam.
- The NMAT testing period has been extended from 75 to 88 days.
- The time limit for the NMAT Language Skills portion has been increased from 22 to 28 minutes.
- The time limit for the NMAT Logical Reasoning portion has been increased from 38 to 40 minutes.
- The time limit for the NMAT Quantitative Skills component has been decreased from 60 to 52 minutes.
99 Percentile – Generally a score of 220-230+ is equivalent to a 99 percentile when it comes to NMAT
95 Percentile – A score of 210+ can generally land you percentiles in the range of 95
90 Percentile - A score of 200+ can get you a percentile in the range of 90
The most accurate technique to determine your percentile based on your NMAT 2021 scores is to look at the NMAT score trend. The percentile for the score range is usually reported as follows:
- 235+ NMAT Score - 99 %ile
- 215+ NMAT Score - 95+ %ile
- 200+ NMAT Score - 90+ %ile
