Shivam Garg from Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur, is celebrated as one of the 50 most employable MBA graduates from the class of 2025. His inspiring journey is a testament to resilience, self-reliance, and an unwavering commitment to personal growth. Scroll down to read Shivam’s story and discover what makes him an exceptional candidate.
Shivam’s story began with early independence, leaving home at ten to attend a boarding school where he excelled academically despite the challenges. This determination carried him through transformative experiences, including achieving top honors as Batch Topper and State Ranker at his graduation ceremony, a moment he shared with his proud mother.
In California, during the pandemic, Shivam faced extreme adversity. Living in his car, with maxed-out credit cards and no stable income, he showcased unyielding perseverance by promoting his company’s products at business conferences and exhibitions. The first sale was a breakthrough moment, reflecting his ability to adapt, innovate, and overcome. His leadership shone during his internship at JP Morgan, where he developed a sustainable talent pipeline for persons with disabilities, addressing systemic challenges through innovative partnerships and building a database of over 10,000 candidates. Similarly, at XLRI, Shivam’s commitment to his cohort stood out when he dedicated himself to helping peers succeed in the challenging Quantitative Analysis course, offering personal guidance and creating a collaborative learning environment.
