SJMSOM Admission Criteria - Eligibility
Here's what you need to be eligible for SJMSOM's selection process.
- A Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) out of 10. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of four years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
- Applicants appearing for final year of the degree and those who have completed the degree requirements and awaiting results can also apply. The applicant should have secured an aggregate of 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) or equivalent till the latest exam that has been completed and whose scores are available.
- CA, CS, CFA, ICWA or FRM, with a first-class Bachelor’s degree in any discipline having secured 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) in aggregate (including all years/semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) out of 10.

SJMSOM Admission Criteria - Selection Process
SJMSOM's admission process comprises three major phases. In the first phase, candidates are screened on the basis of minimum CAT cut-offs set by the institute. In the second phase, the remaining candidates are shortlisted for the personal interview (PI) round based on certain selection criteria. Finally, in the third phase, candidates are shortlisted for admission based on yet another set of selection criteria.

Phase 1 - Screening of candidates based on CAT 2022 cut-offs

- Work experience in a coaching centre, working for self-propriety or small-scale business (like retail store etc.), NGO and Petrol Pump will not be considered.
- Work experience of more than or equal to 15 days in a month should be counted as 1 month and for less than 15 days, it should be counted as 0.
- Currently employed applicants should consider experience period up to 31st December 2022.
- Experience letter, first and the latest monthly payslips should be produced at the time of PI.
Phase 3 - Final shortlisting for admission to MBA program
