Right to Information (RTI) data for SJMSOM IIT Bombay's admissions process has revealed that of all the applicants who apply to the institute, only 30% end up receiving admission offers. The data has also revealed the lowest CAT percentile it took for a candidate to get an admission offer, as well as the conversion rates across different stages of SJMSOM's admissions process. In 2021, of all the candidates that were shortlisted for SJMSOM's interview round, about 57% converted the call into an admission offer.

Amongst all candidates shortlisted for admission, only about 13% ended up enrolling for SJMSOM's MBA program in 2022. 17% of General category candidates who were given admission offers ended up joining the institute.
