A total of 41 firms participated in the summer placements process. Top recruiting brands on campus included Google, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, P&G, Nestle, and Flipkart amongst others. 16 first time recruiters also participated in the summer placements process at SJMSoM, IIT Bombay. SJMSoM had a very successful summer placements season in 2020-2021. The entire placements process was conducted completely online due to restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic. Here are the key highlights from the summer placement report released by the institute:
- A total of 41 firms participated in the summer placements process at SJMSoM, IIT Bombay. This included 16 first time participants. Top brands on campus included Google, Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Asian Paints, P&G, Nestle, Mondelez, Flipkart, eBay, L'Oreal and Salesforce, amongst others.
- Companies in the Consumer Goods/Durables sector were the most sought-after for the MBA batch of 2022 at SJMSoM with 38% of the batch opting for internships in this sector. The next most sought-after sectors were Healthcare, E-Commerce and others (24%) and Consulting & IT (20%). 18% of the batch opted for internships in the BFSI sector.
- Recruiters on campus offered roles in investment banking, management consulting, operations management, product management, sales and marketing, and supply chain management, amongst other roles.
- First time recruiters on campus included ITC, L'Oreal, Signify, Sony Pictures, and Tata Consumer Products amongst other companies.
- A total of 111 students participated in the summer placements process at SJMSoM, IIT Bombay.
SJMSoM, IIT Bombay Summer Placements 2020-2022 | Key Stipend Figures
The following are the key stipend figures from the summer placements process for the MBA batch of 2020-2022 at SJMSoM, IIT Bombay. All stipend figures have been obtained from the official summer placement report available on the institute's website.
The highest stipend offered to the MBA batch of 2022 stood at ₹3.20 lakhs,
which is the same as last year. There was a marginal increase in the average stipend offered, while there was a dip of 7% in the median stipend offered. There was an increase in the average of the top-30% and top-50% of the stipends offered by recruiters.
