SNAP 2019 - Latest Test Structure

The following are the four major takeaways from the latest SNAP 2019 paper pattern: 1. The exam duration will be two hours (120 minutes), from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. 2. The latest SNAP 2019 test structure comprises a total of 115 questions, a decrease of 15 questions from 2018. The overall decrease comes from a decrease in the number of special questions (type-in the answer format questions), as compared to 2018. 3. Special questions require candidates to type in the answer via a virtual on-screen keyboard. For instance, if the question asked is - "What is the number of ways in which the letters ABCD can be arranged without repetition to form a four-letter word?", you will be required to type in '24' as the answer, as opposed to selecting it from multiple choices. Each special question carries two marks, and these can only be found in the QA, DI-DS section of SNAP 2019. 4. The marking scheme has also changed compared to SNAP 2018. Earlier, each question in the test (except special questions) carried one mark each, with 25% negative marking for incorrect responses. In SNAP 2019, each question (except special questions) in the VA-RC and A-LR sections will have 1.5 marks, while each question in the QA, DI-DS and Current Affairs section will carry 1 mark. The negative marking remains unchanged at 25%. 5. SNAP 2019 will be a computer-based test. Below is the latest SNAP 2019 exam pattern:
Section Normal Questions Marks Per Correct Answer Special Questions Marks Per Correct Answer Total Questions Total Marks
General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability 30 1.5 0 0 30 45
Analytical & Logical Reasoning 30 1.5 0 0 30 45
Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency 30 1 5 2 35 40
Current Affairs 20 1 0 0 20 20
Total 110 5 115 150

SNAP 2019 - Registration Process, Registration Fee

1. The SNAP 2019 registration process will begin on 16th August 2019. The registration process will register candidates for SNAP 2019, and will also include the registration process for institutes that accept SNAP scores (SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, SIBM Bengaluru, SIBM Hyderabad, etc.). The registration process for SNAP & the Institutes is integrated. Candidates can complete the SNAP as well as programme registrations in the same portal. 2. Registration for SNAP 2019 will cost Rs. 1,750. Registration per programme per institute will cost Rs. 1,000. For example, after registering for SNAP 2019, if you choose to register for only SIBM Pune and SCMHRD, the total amount payable would be Rs. 3,750 (1,750+1,000+1,000). 3. The registration form will require information such as Personal Details, Educational Qualifications, and Preferred Test Cities.
