SNAP 2019 - Latest Test Structure
The following are the four major takeaways from the latest SNAP 2019 paper pattern:
1. The exam duration will be two hours (120 minutes), from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
2. The latest SNAP 2019 test structure comprises a total of 115 questions, a decrease of 15 questions from 2018. The overall decrease comes from a decrease in the number of special questions (type-in the answer format questions), as compared to 2018.
3. Special questions require candidates to type in the answer via a virtual on-screen keyboard. For instance, if the question asked is -
"What is the number of ways in which the letters ABCD can be arranged without repetition to form a four-letter word?
", you will be required to type in
'24
' as the answer, as opposed to selecting it from multiple choices.
Each special question carries two marks, and these can only be found in the QA, DI-DS section of SNAP 2019.
4. The marking scheme has also changed compared to SNAP 2018. Earlier, each question in the test (except special questions) carried one mark each, with 25% negative marking for incorrect responses.
In SNAP 2019, each question (except special questions) in the VA-RC and A-LR sections will have
1.5 marks, while each question in the QA, DI-DS and Current Affairs section will carry
1 mark.
The negative marking remains unchanged at 25%.
5. SNAP 2019 will be a computer-based test.
