The first phase of the SNAP exam was held on December 19, 2021. SNAP 2021 had no major changes in pattern or difficulty level from last year. SNAP 2021 aspirants had to face 60 questions in 60 minutes comprising a total of 60 marks. As per reports, ~60,000 candidates have appeared for the first phase of SNAP this year. In this article, we will deep-dive into the detailed analysis of  SNAP by Career Launcher (CL) and IMS along with the predicted cut-offs.

SNAP 2021 Phase 1 Analysis And Predicted Cut-offs: Overall - CL And IMS

According to experts at Career Launcher, the General English section and Analytical & Logical Reasoning were doable, the Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency was a little difficult as compared to last year. Here are the section-wise attempts and predicted scores by Career Launcher and IMS.
Section
Level Of Difficulty Good Attempts Good Score
IMS CL IMS CL
General English Easy Easy to Moderate 13-14 10
Analytical & Logical Reasoning Easy Easy to Moderate 20-22 18-19
Quantitative, DI and Data Sufficiency Medium Moderate to Lengthy 14-15 11-12
Total 39-41
Here are the cut-offs for some of the institutes under the Symbiosis umbrella, as predicted by Career Launcher (CL) and IMS.

SNAP 2021 Phase 1 Analysis And Predicted Cut-offs - General English

There was no Reading Comprehension which saves a lot of time. There were a number of questions on Grammar including on Parts of Speech, and sentence correction. The section also had 4 fill-in-the-blank questions with one such question requiring to select 2 blanks. According to Career Launcher, a good student is expected to answer all the questions or almost all the questions in about 8 to 10 minutes. Any score above 10 would be considered very good and a student expecting a top Symbiosis institute interview call may require 7 to 8 marks at the least to be in good stead. According to IMS, one could attempt 13 or 14 questions with high accuracy in about 13 or 14 minutes.
