GI1:

4 Candidates and 3 panellists
(P1: Suresh Lalwani, Professor Finance
P2: Sushmita Srivastava, Associate Professor, People and Performance
P3: Ananth Iyer, SP alum of Marketing specialization)

None of them introduced themselves, I found all this out later after Googling them. Thankfully since none of them had an IM background, I had a pretty chill GI1. We were asked to introduce ourselves in 1 min exact and skip unnecessary details. After all, were done with their introduction, they started with me and asked what exactly is my role in my company, how do I see an MBA working out for me in the future and how does it pan out in the next 5 years. Explain work-ex, Why MBA and short term goals in the next 5 years, all three questions clubbed into one. The next question was what's the difference between Digitization and Digitalization. And 3rd and final question were, your company provides mainly marketing solutions to clients why do you still want to pursue an MBA in IM, and don't you think it is too early for you to switch to MBA since you're already in an exciting domain that has a lot of scopes. That was it. No further questions were asked in G1. The 3 other candidates had chosen Finance specialization out of which one was a CA, the other 2 were engineers. All 3 were grilled a lot by P1. Finally 3 out of 4 got through to GI2. Me, CA guy and one engineer. The entire interview took around 60 mins since we were 4 of us. GI2: This was supposed to start at 1.45 but started a bit late. Went on for about 30 mins. This interview for me was kinda weird. I have no clue how it went. 3 candidates and 2 panellists

(P1: Milind Kamat, Associate Professor IM
P2: Vasant Sivaraman, associate Dean)

One guy had written that he loves the field of economics in his Form B. He was asked to explain that statement. Later based on that came a question to be as to what I think of Elon Musk and would I consider him a good leader and would I work for him. Some back and forth happened on the same. Next, I was asked what I thought about Virat Kohli and Novak Djokovic and would I consider them to be good leaders. Again some back and forth between 3 of us candidates, each was asked their opinion on the same question. We were asked what we thought of Virat and Novak's value system. Another guy was asked if a senior verbally abuses a subordinate would you "Name and Shame". And a lot of discussion on this. Then each of us was asked to share an ethical dilemma we faced, I was asked if I had a choice between making a huge profit but at the cost of compromising values, what I'd choose and why. And lastly, since I had an analytics background, I was asked a question on Privacy and whether I'd share my Adhaar card details with a BlueDart delivery guy who has my US visa and I have to fly within the next 3 days. Good luck!
