Srishti Yadav’s journey to IIM Kozhikode reflects a seamless blend of technical expertise, analytical rigor, and a deep commitment to continuous learning. Growing up in the dynamic environment of BARC, Mumbai, she was inspired by the transformative power of science and technology. This early exposure fueled her decision to pursue a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai, where she honed her problem-solving and analytical abilities. Her professional journey began with an internship at PwC, which introduced her to the corporate world and emphasized precision and client management. At JPMorgan Chase, she expanded her expertise beyond software engineering, delving into finance, risk management, and decision-making under pressure. Her time there solidified her ability to navigate complex business challenges and reinforced her passion for leveraging technology to drive impactful solutions. A significant milestone in her journey was being selected as one of 45 HUL Changemakers nationwide, chosen from over 1,100 applicants. This transformative experience deepened her understanding of real-world business challenges and strengthened her ability to work with diverse teams. The insights gained from this opportunity laid the foundation for her strategic thinking and decision-making skills, vital traits for her MBA pursuits. Driven by her ambition to merge her technical acumen with strategic leadership, Srishti achieved a remarkable 99.69 percentile in CAT 2022, earning her a place at IIM Kozhikode. Here, she continues to refine her business acumen and leadership capabilities, building on the solid foundation she has cultivated over the years. Among her notable achievements, winning the National JPMC Code for Good Hackathon stands out. Competing against over 600 participants, her team developed a technology-based solution addressing a critical social issue for an NGO. In just 24 hours, they delivered an innovative and impactful solution that showcased her ability to thrive under pressure, collaborate effectively, and deliver results. This experience reinforced her adaptability and highlighted her strength in leveraging technology for social impact. Another highlight was her publication on “Text Analytics Techniques” at the Springer International Conference ICDSAI 2022. The paper introduced innovative approaches to text analytics, a rapidly evolving field. Presenting her research at a global conference enhanced her technical expertise and strengthened her communication skills, enabling her to engage with professionals from around the world. This experience deepened her ability to bridge the gap between business and technology, a critical competency in today’s data-driven world. Srishti’s tenure at JPMorgan Chase further exemplified her proactive approach and problem-solving mindset. Tasked with improving financial reporting processes, she identified inefficiencies and proposed a comprehensive overhaul, including automated reconciliation checks and enhanced validation mechanisms. Her initiative not only reduced errors by 40% but also cut report generation time by 25%, demonstrating her ability to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions. Srishti’s resilience and optimism are central to her success. Her inability to gain admission to IITs after rigorous preparation could have been a setback, but she chose to view it as a learning opportunity. This experience taught her the value of persistence, adaptability, and embracing challenges as opportunities for growth. Her ability to turn setbacks into stepping stones has been a consistent theme in her journey, motivating her to aim higher and achieve more. Integrity has been a guiding principle in her life. A defining moment occurred during her college years when she was tasked with ordering T-shirts for a student group. Faced with a suggestion to compromise on fabric quality to save costs, she stood firm in upholding the trust placed in her by her peers. By prioritizing quality over convenience, she safeguarded the group’s reputation and reaffirmed her commitment to ethical decision-making. At IIM Kozhikode, Srishti continues to demonstrate her leadership and problem-solving abilities. Her contributions to projects, such as creating multilingual chatbots during the JPMC Code for Good Hackathon and her strategic mentorship of students aspiring to enter top B-schools, reflect her dedication to excellence and her desire to uplift others. Through personalized guidance and rigorous preparation, she has helped many students achieve their dreams, embodying the spirit of mentorship and collaboration. Srishti’s journey is a testament to her ability to balance technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a strong ethical compass. Whether it is her achievements in engineering, her impactful contributions to the corporate world, or her academic and extracurricular successes, she consistently showcases resilience, creativity, and a passion for making a difference. With her diverse experiences and unwavering determination, Srishti is well-equipped to navigate the challenges of the MBA program and emerge as a leader capable of driving meaningful change.
