Sudarshan Kumar Dey from IIM Shillong bags the prestigious YES ASPIRE SCHOLARSHIP

Sudarshan Kumar Dey, currently a second year PGDM student at IIM Shillong, has been selected as a YES ASPIRE to Innovate Scholar for the year 2015. He is one of the 30 exceptional scholars selected from top B-Schools in India including all IIMs, XLRI, FMS, MDI, ISB, TISS, SPJIMR, NMIMS, NITIE, IRMA, JBIMS, DMS-IITD and SCMHRD for their entrepreneurial vision, leadership qualities, stellar academic achievements and above all the passion to excel. Says an elated Sudarshan, “I am extremely glad to have made my institute proud. It was a great and unique opportunity for me to interact with the corporates and students from other IIMs and B-schools.”

 YES ASPIRE Scholarship is part of YES BANK’s vision to provide a grooming platform for aspiring young leaders, who would lead India into the next wave of socio economic growth. In a rigorous evaluation process spanning for one and a half month, 250 students selected across 25 top B-School campuses in India were evaluated on the basis of their academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievement and entrepreneurial vision. As a YES ASPIRE to Innovate Scholar, scholars also receive mentorship from YES BANK Senior Management and also an opportunity to participate in various exclusive knowledge events of YES Bank throughout the year.

 The Scholarship certification was held on March 19, 2015 at the awards ceremony of YES ASPIRE to Innovate hosted at the Rooftop, Trident, Nariman Point. The felicitation programme provided a unique opportunity for the scholars to interact with the renowned intellectual personalities of the Corporate World which included Mr. Praveen Sinha (CEO & Founder Jabong), Mr. Bibek Debroy (Member, NITI Ayog), Prof. Nirmalya Kumar (TATA Group Executive Council Member), Ms Chithra Ramakrishna (CEO& MD, NSE).The Yes Aspire Scholars also attended a day long interactive session with the top management of Yes Bank on March 18, 2015.
