Hi, Tell us about how you got selected for this internship? Take us through the moment you realized you had got the internship.
There were two interview rounds after the shortlisting process. Round 1 was a technical round wherein I was asked questions from the accounting and finance domain, then it eventually led to a discussion regarding my educational background and work experiences.
Round 2 was quite general, it was an HR-based round wherein the panelist and I indulged in a discussion and it was a conversational interview.
After the end of round 1, I was quite confident that the panelist liked me for my candor and that's when I understood that I have cracked the interview.
On joining the company as an intern, how has your onboarding experience been like?
Onboarding was a very smooth sail, as before the joining, we had a quick call with the HR wherein she gave us a brief about the day1. After day1, the concerned persons got in touch with us and gave us a brief on our path ahead.
How has your interaction with the team members and colleagues been like? How will you make sure to leave the best impression on your supervisors by the end of the internship?
The team members and colleagues were all interactive and engaging people. We had a zoom call over which everyone welcomed me with warmth and an open arm. They gave a brief introduction about themselves and asked me for the same.
My modus vivendi is to have a growth mindset in everything I undertake. My credo is to give my hundred percent and be vocal. I just followed my credo with the supervisors and gave crisp and informed answers or opinions wherever asked.
Tell us in brief, about the project you are currently working on and how is this project going to help the company?
My project was to analyze and rightsize the settlement exposure. As a part of my project I have examined the utilisations of the products of the bank and resized them to avoid any idle utilisations along with assessing the internal credit appetite to ease the right sizing.
This project would help the company with the following:
- To understand the overutilization/underutilization of the product.
- To assess the net overall exposure that needs to be reported to the authority, so it is updated timely.
- It gives the bank the opportunity to pursue other products within settlement exposure which will be more profitable.
