Flowers can't choose the place where they bloom, and children can't choose the parents they're born to. But later, to obtain what they want, everyone puts up with things, puts in efforts, picks up skills, and chooses the path that deems right, and so did I. I was living in my small world always thinking about exploring the world unexplored. For the first time, I stayed away from my hometown, but the new place was no less than a "Home away from home," I became a crow of IIM Ranchi, and it was my nest after all.
Days were passing by, and SIP was coming closer. I started preparing for it with full throttle. With every passing day, I started brushing up my skills. I paid an immense focus on the projects given by our professors that increased our theoretical knowledge and gave us the field experience. But to stand out from the rest, I needed something extra. I started spending more time to learn about various technical tools available online. There's no denying that the classroom projects and the aced technical skills made me crack my interview.
I joined Max Estates to work on a luxury project as a Sales and Marketing Intern. Since it was a virtual internship, day 1 was a little different. I met the senior team, including the CEO, on VC. They were all in a joyful mood and wholeheartedly welcomed me on-board. The first week went into confusion. I was resolute to give my best but didn't know how to go about with the project. I felt low and disheartened. To my amazement, the team backed me up with everything it had and gave all possible reviews and recommendations to start the work with full throttle. The result of the second week shook everyone. It was great progress, and the tools that I had learned about came in handy.
Slowly the confusion changed into confidence and confidence into excitement to work with the team. The team had four people, including me. Although I was assigned one guide, but everyone shared their knowledge and expertise with me and always asked me not to limit myself to the project but to know about the industry.
Every week we had a review meeting with the CBDO of Max VIL. I am grateful to him to provide me the opportunity to take part in the execution. I contacted so many people during my internship, not even once it felt like a virtual internship. Making a presentation is fine, but getting recommendations approved and working with the senior team in execution is amazing. And I never thought of weekends as holidays. My workdays were better, so I worked for the entire week.
What next? The internship got over, and I miss working with them, but we didn't lose contact, the assisting goes on. They told me to reach out to them anytime in life, I face any difficulty and check up on the progress of the project anytime I felt. Adding to Honesty, Hard Work, and Humility, the values of IIM Ranchi, I have also learned the Max values of Sevabhav, Excellence, and Credibility by heart. Proud is a small word to express how I feel to be associated with the company. Just one thing I know for sure is that in these 2 Months, "I lived my life to the MAX."
