About Me
I am a second year MMS student at JBIMS. I am an IT engineer from the prestigious VJTI institute, have worked for 24 months with CitiusTech IT solutions as a Software Developer prior to joining JBIMS and an avid cricket fan.
What have you done at your Post-Grad/Business School/Undergrad level that makes you stand out from the crowd?
At the undergrad level, the kind of final year project that I worked on is unique in itself. I have also published a paper in an international journal i.e IJSRP, France. The project was based on devising a security algorithm for distributed peer to peer network which is prone to Sybil attack which is very severe and can not be 100% secured. But with the use of algorithm such attack can be detected with 90% accuracy and reduces network congestion by 85-90%.
I am a National Finalist in the Nomura Investment Banking IAG Case Study Competition which was based on building Request for Proposal for IPO of an e-commerce firm incorporated in the USA and operates in India, China and USA. I have prepared pitch book for the same and arrived at issue size and proposed the use of proceeds as well. I have also suggested acquisition target for the firm for its inorganic expansion.
Nomura also extended the Pre-Placement Interview Offer for the excellent performance.
What have you done in your life that you are the proudest of?
Apart from my academic achievement, I have achieved great results in extra-curricular activities as well.
I would like to highlight one such achievement which I am most proud of is:
Winning the 2nd prize in ElectriCT awards (given to top 3 outperformers every year) in my 1st Organization CitiusTech Inc for my excellent performance beyond project deliverables. I have actively taken part in the initiative started for resolving technical questions/problems posted on our internal portal. I was also ranked 2nd in that portal and have all answers accepted by the people who posted the question. This has inspired others in the organization as well then the company started a rule that after each technical training everyone should ask their queries on the internal forum and other people can answer the same. It was a unique experience for me because I was just exposed to the corporate environment and still I continued to perform at my best level.
If you were the Prime Minister of India, what would be the one problem that you would solve. Please explain your reasons.
Currently, many rights are given to media and I would make more stringent laws regarding the same. Focus on implementation related issues of announced schemes rather than just creating schemes. Why because of the following instances:
i] During 26/11 attack the role media played was so idiotic and helped the terrorist to get the information which is used against us.
ii] All the riots and religion based wars going on in the nation were somehow represented by the media in a wrong way and it fuelled the wrong perception about the same.
iii] Misrepresentation of information and wrongly quoting the politicians statements as portrayed in the media.
iv]At the same time, giving some space to the media because they are the crux of the national democracy
.
If you had unlimited money, what would be that one mobile application that you would create and what problem would it solve?
I would like to create a one-stop app for Public/CBI/Police all legal govt. entities.
Which will have an integrated database of criminals and others on whom the case is running and making it available to the respective departments because this will lead to quicker resolution of cases. That app will include a unique number of vehicles which are banned and are under Government Control. Any stolen vehicle after registration of FIR which will make it easier to track at the same time making only required information available to public through this app hence it will keep the secrecy required. All the emergency numbers would be up to date. For female travellers, a special button would be created that would send the GPS location by alarming the nearest police station. Follow the practice that the USA Homicide/DEA/FBI departments follow in information sharing in the app building.
