Meet the Mahindra Warriors in this series and tell us who do you think has what it takes to win this year’s Mahindra War Room. Let us know in the comments below!   Introduction by team members: Hello! This is Arushi Garg. I'm a Computer Science engineer from Delhi, currently pursuing MBA Marketing from SCMHRD. I like to read, travel and binge on good food. I value time as the most precious asset and try to make every minute count. Technology always fascinates me, and I count myself as a gizmo geek. I am Sushant Garg. I am an electronics engineer and have worked in Tata Consultancy Services. Having lived in various parts of the country I have learned about adaptability. I have the curiosity of learning new things and I don’t easily give up, rather I find some unique solution to the problem. I follow football and love reading gothic horror books. My name is Swapnil More. After having worked as a mechanical engineer I am currently pursuing MBA Marketing from SCMHRD. Post-match football analysis intrigues me as I am a football buff. I like reading books. To kill a Mockingbird is my favourite book. I want to travel solo through Europe someday and impress the locals with my guitar skills. Hi, I am Aditya. Having done my Engineering in Mechanical Specialization from Bhopal, I am currently pursuing MBA in Marketing from SCMHRD, Pune. I believe in learning from experience, be it mine or others. And this makes me flexible enough to mingle with others pretty easily.  I like to travel and explore new places around and as a result, I have developed a passion for photography. I constantly try to improve myself in whatever aspect I can, so that I can always be a better individual that what I am today. What made you participate in Mahindra War room Season 11? Mahindra War Room is one of the most recognized corporate competition across the country, open to only premier B-Schools of India. We attended the launch of the competition in our first year and were enthralled by the cases given. These cases were relevant to the industry and we knew that we could also make a difference. This was an opportunity to get out of the classroom and apply the knowledge gained to real life problems. After getting to know the group better through the competition, what does Mahindra Group stand for, in your mind? Mahindra Group has been one of the pioneers of business houses in India since independence. After participating in War Room, we recognized the reach of Mahindra; we understood the value this name holds in the market. And now, for us, Mahindra stands as an ideal interpretation of “incessant growth”, be it in terms of its business portfolio, it structure or the initiatives the company takes. How did you go about picking your case and solving it? Tell us a few team anecdotes. We wanted to take something that would create an impact not just on Mahindra’s business, but also to the society. After a lot of brainstorming and basic research, we shortlisted 2 cases. We finalized Mahindra’s inter-trade business case due to the urgency of the context of the case. Waste is one of the biggest problems globally, Recycling is the only solution at hand. We did a lot of primary and secondary research about the problem and performed a Gap Analysis of the present situation in India. War room is about strategizing, we developed a strategy to fill the gaps and came up with the business model. How are you preparing for the finale? The final phase of Mahindra War Room clashes with our end term examination. We are trying our best to balance our efforts. We are consulting our professors and peers to apply the finishing touch to our presentation. What is the one question you would like to ask Mr. Anand Mahindra when you meet him in person? We are in 11th season of Mahindra War Room, how has this competition impacted Mahindra? Which business ideas have you implemented and how much have they grown? Your plan with the prize money? We all have different aspirations. Arushi and Aditya would like to travel. Sushant would like to take up a new activity to learn, Swapnil would buy a new Guitar and sports shoes. Though we all agreed on one point that is to travel and cherish our journey with Mahindra.
