The ample amount of time given to do in-depth analysis provided us with an opportunity to deep dive into the live case given, enabled us to come up with a near realistic solution after doing an exhaustive research. Mahindra War room not only provided us with an opportunity to understand real-life business cases but also helped us in achieving a holistic MBA experience. After getting to know the group better through the competition, what does Mahindra Group stand for, in your mind? We have realized that Mahindra has a legacy that has survived and withstood the changing economic conditions since its inception in India. Mahindra's core strength lies in its synergies across various sectors which can be leveraged when entering new market. In a word, UNITY is what comes to our mind after getting to know the diverse fields it has ventured into. How did you go about picking your case and solving it? Tell us a few team anecdotes. We had our team in place even before the case was launched, that’s how excited we were! The entire campus was looking forward to the Mahindra War Room season to start. When the cases were launched, we went through all of them and eventually narrowed it down to a few. Surprisingly all of us had shortlisted Classic Legends individually; all of unanimously found this case alluring and at the same time challenging. We were fascinated when we did a simple search of Jawa Yezdi and found the reverence these bikes still held in the biking community.  And thus when we entered into a discussion on finalizing a case all four of us settled for Classic Legends case because it was a case on a strategic turnaround, market entry and disruption. How are you preparing for the finale? Our team is very excited for the finals and we have been putting our best efforts to become the champions. This entire journey of two months right from picking up the case to coming up with the final presentation has been nothing short of spectacular. We are working day and night on improvising the pitch, giving never-ending final touches to the presentation and trying to present the solution in the best way possible. Our excitement in looking forward to the finale has literally turned us all into night owls! What is the one question you would like to ask Mr Anand Mahindra when you meet him in person? In India, moto-racing is not that popular, but in recent years Mahindra has made a lot of investments in motor-sports. Where does automobile racing fit in the current strategy of Mahindra? Your plan with the prize money? With the prize money, we are planning to make payments towards our education loan undertaken for the MBA course.
