Time is the most limited resource and it is rightly said that if you cannot manage time, you cannot manage anything! With just 24 hours a day and merely 4 more days to go for the actual test –CAT, it becomes important that you balance your time between revisions, last minute mock tests and self-motivation.

Time-management lessons are easy to read, plan and think of but tough when it comes to practicality. But they play a key role especially when the time is scarce. Time management assists you to prioritise your work and it is applicable for the last minute preparations for CAT too. Few tricks and tips to manage your time effectively could be:
1. Make realistic goals – Plan as per your capacity. Don’t overload yourself and feel demotivated. Although a stretch beyond your potential is expected during these crucial hours.

2. Review, revise and recollect all that you learnt during your preparation period. Keeping things at the top of your mind before the main day is required. 3. Each section is of high value. Devote one day each for the three sections and reserve the last day only for practising problems. 4. Don’t miss out the past papers of CAT. You may not find the exact questions in the exams but they will give you the taste of the actual test. 5. Try out at most 2 mock tests in the remaining days- this will boost your confidence and aid you to figure out if you missed on anything critical. Spend maximum time on analysing the tests; this will help you with your strengths and weaknesses. 6. Every time you opt for practice problems or mock tests, do it with a time limit. This will help you improve your speed. 7. Devote some time for an online calculator if you are not fast with numbers. 8. Gain the habit of scanning every section before you start – not more than 3-5 minutes. This will be useful in identifying your initial targets.
