Ever since the inception of the InsideIIM Recruitment Survey, Unilever, P&G and Nestle have dominated the rankings for the most desirable FMCG recruiters. Unilever, particularly, has shown tremendous consistency by remaining at the numero uno position for over half a decade. But will preferences change this year? The InsideIIM Recruitment survey intends to answer these questions in detail, based on the responses of the MBA community.
HUL Emerges As Undisputed Winner Amongst The Most Desirable Consumer Goods Companies MBA Students Want To Work With
To absolutely no one's surprise, Hindustan Unilever has been voted by MBA students across India as the top consumer goods company they aspire to work with after their MBA. The FMCG giant has consistently established a stronghold as a brand on top MBA colleges through campus engagement activities and competitions such as HUL Lime, and by hiring from top IIMs and other institutes for the coveted UFLP and the ULIP programmes. Coca-Cola and ITC also find themselves amongst the top three companies of choice for MBA students, though these industry giants are unable to narrow the chasm between themselves and the pole-sitter.
Featuring amongst the top five is L'Oreal, and MBA students consider this world leader in personal care and cosmetics a dream springboard for their careers. Nestlé, the world's largest FMCG company, features in the top 10 most desirable consumer goods companies to work with for MBA students. Nestle's coveted
management trainee programme is considered to be an excellent launchpad for MBA students to begin their management careers.
ITC, Asian Paints, Marico Are The Top Three Homegrown FMCG Companies MBA Students Want To Work With
ITC Limited has been voted by MBA students as the top Indian consumer goods company to work with after an MBA. Also amongst the top three are Asian Paints and Marico. Two Tata Sons companies - Titan and TCP - feature amongst the top ten as well.
How Did We Make This Report?
In 2021, we reached out to students from India's leading business schools to understand their thoughts and preferences when it came to the campus recruitment process. In the process, we gained some incredibly valuable data, including MBA students' most preferred consumer goods companies to work with after MBA. To arrive at this list of top consumer goods companies to work with after MBA, a weighted score was computed.
Students responding to this survey belong to business schools like IIMs ABCLIK, as well as second and third generation IIMs. Respondents also belong to campuses such as FMS, XLRI, SPJIMR, ISB, MDI Gurgaon, SIBM Pune, IIFT, and NMIMS Mumbai amongst others.
