'U', Udaipur, Unique And You

‘U’ is the best thing that has ever happened to me. ‘U’ is unique in its own way. ‘U’ is the place which is my home for two years. The place where I travelled in June, 2017 is now what I call is my 2nd home. It’s has been a year staying in this one of the biggest IIM campuses and yet I still remember the feeling which I was struck with the sight of the beautiful campus of ‘U’. IIM Udaipur is surrounded by hills, the campus itself is on the hill.

The beauty of the campus is at the epitome during monsoon, when the clouds rush by, the greenery covers the surrounded hills, the peacocks ‘meows’ in the hills, the rains compliments the campus’s beauty. The road on the back side of the campus is the best place for the students to hang out in their free time. The road becomes a memory for friends who share their secrets looking at the scenery, for the romantic couple, for the group of friends as well as for lonely soul who likes to spend time in solace.

The lake at the entrance of the campus will bring a definitely added beauty to the campus. The hostels on the campus of ‘U’ have been given a traditional look, the extreme temperatures of Udaipur are fought by the provision of air conditioners in each room of the hostel. Needless to say, the academic block is a huge beautiful building on the campus of our IIM Udaipur.

‘U’ not only transforms an individual into a better management student but ‘U’ takes You into a transformation journey by making You a better You. You become a family when you spend the best of your two years at IIM Udaipur. IIM Udaipur not only shapes a student by rigorous academics but encourages the club, committee activities which helps a student in building oneself.

The values of IIM Udaipur build the disciplined nature in any individual belonging to the community. It’s all the efforts of all the individuals be it prof, students, clubs, committees, staff that helps in transforming the shape of a student by adding value at each point of them. The value contributed is in the form of rigour, discipline in terms of strict time following, dress codes during some sessions, attendance, lecture preparation, teaching, submissions, awards, sports, competitions, events, right till food, care, love, share.
