The day started at 8:00 am just like any other day. It was the second day of our regular class and I was late for breakfast. I decided to skip the breakfast and directly went to the class. We all were very excited to meet our new professors. It was the operations class and the professor entered the class at 11:10, 5 minutes early. He introduced himself to us.
It was 11:15 and one of friend knocked on the door to come inside. Professor told him to get out because he was late and the professor was very strict and believed in discipline. He requested to allow him to come inside and the professor got even angrier. Then he asked if he should be allowed. We all said yes but then the professor added, if he comes inside you all will get bad grades. Everyone was confused and was trying to find a way. We all discussed and requested the professor to allow him as this is his first mistake and he didn't do it on purpose. We used our managerial skills to convince him and we succeeded. The special thing about this is that I got to know about the unity that we have. If we wanted we could have let him stay out but we showed our unity and care towards our classmate. There is a saying that a friend in need is a friend indeed.
All of us are a part of IIM Raipur family and we should help each other. We all are here to become good managers but first, let's become good humans beings. This incident really touched me and I will never forget this classroom experience.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would like to join pantaloons retail of ABG. I am inclined towards the fashion industry and want to learn the field process and explore the new fields.
