Universal Business School (UBS), Mumbai has completed its placement season for the post-graduation batch of 2021 during the challenging Covid-19 pandemic, with the highest package of INR 40 lacs per annum. Despite the economy taking a dive, UBS attracted 245 companies to participate in campus recruitment for final placement and the summer internship process, due to its significant corporate connect and the strong endorsement of industry with the backing of the 60 CEOs. 
For its flagship batch, the average salary for the Top 25% of the students in the flagship batch, increased substantially from INR 10.45 LPA in 2020 to INR 12.14 LPA in 2021. The average salary for the flagship PGDM batch has also increased to INR 8.42 lakhs while the median salary for the graduating batch stayed at INR 8.00 LPA. The Average salary for experienced students with over 2 years of work experience increased substantially to INR 12.08 LPA. 
Universal Business School, Final Placement 2021 - Key Highlights
Universal Business School has surpassed the previous year’s performance, on all counts. It has attracted the highest number of companies and achieved the highest average salary in the last 3 years. UBS attracted 29 first time recruiters from the companies who were thriving during the pandemic in Digital Marketing, EdTech, Fintech, E-Commerce and Business Analytics. The highlight of placement season was that Consulting firms like Deloitte and Ernst & Young recruited students with Deloitte recruiting 10 students.  For experienced students who joined UBS, the highest increase in salary was 534% in India and 2600% for international placement in Europe, demonstrating the significant transformation UBS has achieved with its experienced students.

Sales & Marketing, Marketing Research Emerges As Top Domain, Making Up 44% of Total Offers

This year Marketing dominated the 2020 placements with Digital Marketing, Sales & Distribution and Marketing Research were the preferred domain amongst participants with Industry giants like Asian Paints, Adobe, IBM, Berger Paints, Quality Kiosk, Blue Dart, UpGrad, PhonePe, Godrej Housing, Godrej & Boyce, Adani Group, Netcore, Byju’s, Zomato, Pin Click, Blue Dart, White Hat Jr., etc. 

Banking, Financial Services and Consulting Contribute To 25% Share In Placements

The Banking and Financial Services domain remained the second most attractive sector this year. Recruiters offered varied profiles ranging from management trainee, analysts in credit and risk management, Asst. Finance Manager, Fund Accounting Manager, Branch Manager, Management Consultant, Associate – Consulting & Advisory and Forex Trading Manager. The major recruiters include Ernst & Young, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, American Express, IDFC First Bank, Federal Bank, Morningstar, Motilal Oswal, S&P Global, Yes Bank, Nomura, Darashaw Securities, Barclays Bank, South Indian Bank, Institutional Shareholding Services, to name a few.
Operations, Logistics/Supply Chain & Analytics Contribute To 14% Share in Placements Recruiters include Repos Energy, DHL, Tata Construction, Reliance Industries, Kuehne + Nagel, Tech Mahindra, Everise Shipping, Galaxy Surfacants, Accenture, which offered varied profiles ranging from project management, vendor management, supply chain management, warehouse management and store operations. 
General Management, Consulting & HR Contribute To 7% Share In Placements Eminent recruiters like Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, Tresvista Financial Services, UpGrad, Searchborn Consulting were hiring for the roles in talent acquisition, HR Generalist, Area HR Manager and Management Trainee roles. 
Business Analytics Contributes To 10% Share In Placements   This year was the first year that students were recruited for Business Analytics with 15 students being recruited by Deloitte, Barclays Bank, Yes Bank, Reach Local and Intellect Design Arena Ltd. with 10 students being recruited by Deloitte.   Universal Business School continues to transform lives as stated by Kriti Palod, PGDM student who got placed as an Analyst at Deloitte, “I consider myself to be very fortunate to be a student of UBS - The 1st green B-School.
