Vineeth Chandra is an ECE grad from NIT Bhopal post which he worked with EXL for 8 months and then joined FMS Delhi.
In his first CAT attempt in 2018, he scored 99.37 percentile (VARC: 86.27 | DILR: 99.47 | QA: 99.79) and received calls from many top B-Schools like XL, IIM K, I, MDI, SPJIMR. He could convert only IIM I, MDI and CAP and decided to give it another shot.
In his second attempt in 2019, he scored 99.94 percentile (VARC: 98.97 | DILR: 97.23 | QA: 99.99) and received calls from all the top B-Schools except IIM B. He converted all the calls except IIM A and C and decided to join FMS.
He also took CAT 2020 for fun and scored a 99.95 percentile (VARC: 85.38 | DILR: 99.78 | QA: 100)
In this video, he shares what worked for him during his CAT prep in all the 3 sections.
Briefly:
1. What helped him improve his score in VARC from 30 percentile to 99.8 percentile in mocks and from 86 percentile (in CAT’18) to 99 percentile (in CAT’19).
2. How DILR, which was his forte in mocks, turned out to be the section he scored the least in and how a balanced prep needs to be maintained across sections.
3. How he went on to become a 100 percentiler in QA.
“Believe…. Become!” has always been Vineeth's mantra, and this is what helped him ace CAT and get into the Red Building of Dreams.
