Preparing for an MBA exam made me realize that it's not just about knowing the concepts, scoring in mocks & interview prep. I feel it’s something more simple, underrated & easy to understand than what we presume is difficult, it's more about
Introspecting ourselves &
understanding ourselves. Which topic do I like, which don't, at what time I'm in a fresh mood to learn something new or work on my weak areas, which topic makes me happy or boosts my confidence while solving, how I perform under stress, what all things cause stress & number of other things.

If you pay attention & understand yourself the preparation journey would be more easy & interesting as we would start understanding the root cause of failures & negligence. Which topic makes me anxious, which topic do I like the most & which I don't & the one which I like would is mainly because I know how to solve that topic easily. So it's natural that the topics which we don't understand easily our brain tend to resist. For me it's Quants for others it would be VARC or DILR.

Once we understand mastering a particular section would be easy. As we know we have to work on that area consistently. Most of the aspirants including myself lack one of the major factors during preparation is consistency. Breaking down the larger goal into smaller ones & targeting each at a time will give you more confidence & clarity. Having a dynamic plan would help us during preparation than following a rigid plan or planning multiple times after the failure of the earlier one. Whatever we do should be in a consistent manner whether it's preparation or giving a mock.
What we do during mock analysis is nothing different than understanding ourselves, our strengths & weakness, and our decision-making capability in different situations(In difficult & easy mocks) & that’s how from the day when we decide to prepare for an MBA we already start working as Managers. From managing time, understanding requirements, working on skills, and testing those skills to delivering on D-day. Till the time we get into college & placed we act as managers unknowingly for ourselves. So being a Manager is not an end goal, it's a journey.
Now that we know it’s time to start working on understanding ourselves & I hope this small thought was helpful.
