How to prepare for XAT?
While the other two sections- Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation are common in most MBA entrance exams, what stands out in the XAT exam is the Decision Making Section.
For Verbal Ability, the focus should be more on solving critical reasoning questions and there are quite a few questions from grammar which are not present in CAT. You can try our free sectional mini mock tests based on the XAT paper pattern to better your practice and ace this section.
If you have been preparing for CAT, you won’t need a lot of extra preparation for XAT for the other two sections. However, Decision Making is a completely new section and would seem alien for someone appearing for XAT for the first time. A situation is given along with multiple courses of action which could be taken or you are asked to come to a conclusion to judge who was right or wrong in a particular situation. Such questions can be tackled once you have enough practice of these kind of questions.
To help you with the practice for the Decision Making Section, we have free
Decision Making sectional tests as a part of our mini mock series. These are 18 minute tests to enable you practise even in busy schedules and keep your preparation going.
