Please Share Your Interview Experience Morning Slot -First Person on my panel.  Panel: 3 Male Professors(P1,P2,P3). P1: Good Morning Shubham, Tell me something about yourself.  Me: Told them about my past, college, work ex, and volunteer work.  P1: Tell me more about this volunteer work?  Me: I told him about my work as a technical editor, enhancing the audio stories for children.  P1: How will this be helpful to children?  Me: I told him how we learn moral values and ethics from stories and how it is ingrained within Indian culture, with grandparents teaching us values through these stories. Gave the example of Panchatantra.  P1: Why do the majority of Panchatantra stories have animal characters and not humans?  Me: As a child, it is easy to associate animals with specific characteristics. The lion needs to be proud as he is the king of the jungle, and the rat needs to be a coward. Assigning specific characters to animals will help children better understand and relate to them  P1: Okay, let's move back to you now. Why do you want to pursue MBA in HR?  Me: I told him how my previous work experience in Infosys had helped me generate interest in HR and how it will help me pursue my goals.  P1(Seeing my form): That's why you have chosen HR over BM?  Me: Yes, Sir. Now, P1 stops, and P2 takes over.  P2: So Shubham, you have worked in Infosys. Tell me any 3 HR policies which you liked?  Me: Told him  P2: And any policy you want to change?  Me: Told him how sometimes projects are assigned without input from employees, and it affects their motivation.  P2: If you were the HR, how would you tackle this issue?  Me: Told him need to have small projects for people to work in their interest areas which could add to their resume and make technology switch easier later. Also told how this will reduce the burden on significant dependency on notice period employees and affect the project timeline.    P2: How do you think Covid has impacted HR policies?  Me:  Told him about WFH, changing pay structure, helping include a more diverse workforce, and reducing the company’s fixed cost.   P2: Elaborate on how Covid helped to include a diverse workforce.  Me: Told him about how people in remote parts can work in MNCs, people suffering from health issues can work in the comfort of their homes, employees on maternity leaves can join the office while being a parent.  P2: Okay, Shubham, over to you, sir.  P3: Name some subjects we offer in the HRM course.  Me: Told  P3: What do you know about labor laws?  Me: Answered  P3: Why government needs to make labor law and not leave it to the jurisdiction of the organization? Me: Told him how government needs to fix minimum wage, working hours, and other benefits to protect the right and interests of the workers.  P3: Okay, Any questions for us?  Me: Asked about the behavioral lab and how it helps study human behavior?  P1: Answered  P1: It was nice talking to you, Shubham. You can log off now.  (The interview lasted around 22-25 mins.)
