XLRI has achieved 100% placements for its PGDM BM and HRM batch of 2023. This year, the highest international salary touched INR 1.1 crores, while the highest domestic salary stood at INR 78.2 lakhs. The average salary for the batch saw an increase of nearly 7%, while the median salary stood at INR 30 lakhs, unchanged from last year. - The highest international salary stood at INR 1.1 crores for the HR domain
- The highest domestic salary stood at INR 78.2 lakhs from the ITES sector
- The average salary increased by 6.5%, touching INR 32.7 lakhs
- The median salary stood at INR 30 lakhs, remaining unchanged year-on-year
- The average of the top-10% of salaries stood at INR 57.70 lakhs, while that of the top-quarter stood at INR 46.8 lakhs

XLRI Placements 2023: Key Recruitment Highlights
- 117 companies participated in the final placements process at XLRI, up from 99 companies last year
- The 463-strong batch received 487 offers, including 3 international offers based out of Germany and the UAE
- Among regular recruiters, Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Bain and Company, Boston Consulting Group, HUL, ITC, PayTM, and PwC made the highest number of offers
- 30 new recruiters participated in XLRI's 2023 placements process. These included leading companies like Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Emaar Properties, HSBC, Indigo Edge, Mercedes Benz, Nykaa, Samagra Governance, Shell, Zomato, DTDC, EY Parthenon, Pine Labs, Redseer Strategy Consultants, and Texas Instruments
- Consulting firms extended offers to 29% of the candidates, while the ITES, E-Commerce sector accounted for 27% of all offer. Sales and marketing made up 25% of the roles offered
- 43.8% of the batch received pre-placement offers (PPOs)
XLRI Placements 2023: Recruiter Turnout
In 2023, BFSI recruiters offered highly sought-after roles including Front End Investment Banking, Asset Management, Portfolio Management, Global and Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Global Markets, Equity Research, and Retail Banking.
Within the FMCG, Pharma, and Real Estate sectors, roles in Strategy, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, IT and Human Resources were offered to the graduating batch of 2023.
HR roles offered included HR Consulting, Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, HR Analytics and Chief of Staff. The Big 4 (KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PwC) opened exclusive HR consulting roles for XLRI students.
Companies in the ITES, E-commerce, Gaming and Online Services sector offered lucrative Product Management, Analytics & Programme Management roles.
