The initial hours were spent smearing each other’s faces and hands with multicolored Gulaal, and within moments almost all of us were indistinguishable amidst a palette of pinks, reds, yellows, blues and greens. Post that the sprinklers were switched on and as people jumped towards those to get their original shades back, buckets of water started pouring towards them.
Within minutes, the entire place looked like it had witnessed a big bad war of paint balls! Meanwhile water balloons were being blown and just when some chickened soul was busy cleaning oneself whoop went a balloon to bring him back to square one. The festival ended after hours of happiness, colors, love and fun were shared, oodles of fond moments and memories were created and heap loads of photos were clicked in phones and etched in hearts.
Holi, the festival of colors and of sharing love was thus celebrated with full mirth and spirit by the ‘Komrades’ of Kozhikode, and while both the batches are leaving campus with a heavy heart sighing of separation, the carnival of colors filled their hearts and souls with the camaraderie which K stands for.
Happy Holi!
