Innovative Interview Experience At SJMSOM, IIT Bombay - Vedant Mate

I was interviewed by Prof. (Ms) Trupti Mishra, faculty at SJMSOM and Mr. Naveen Joshi, alumni of SJMSOM. This was a unique combination of interview panel and so were the questions they asked. Prof. Trupti focused on the academic and personal side asking me questions related to Industry 4.0, my internship, reason for choosing MBA, my final year project. Whereas Mr. Naveen asked questions about current affairs and my future plans. I was asked to explain Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI), core sectors of Indian economy and questions related to budget 2021. The interview questions were balanced which gave me an opportunity to showcase my knowledge in different fields.

Overall the experience was unique. I was impressed by how strictly everyone adhered to time and everything went as planned with no last minute changes. The admissions team consisting of senior students were prompt in helping students, crisp communication and timely updates. I must say that this was the best interview experience. Therefore, I chose to study at SJMSOM despite being selected in better ranked institutes.
