The International Center was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr. Naveen Patnaik, on 5th February 2020. The state of the art amenities inside the center facilitates various services and venues for social, recreational, cultural, and educational pursuits.
The School of Governance and Public Affairs, sheltered within the International Center, incorporates renowned global expert's insights and provides an educational degree of global public policy standards. The school aims to build the state's leadership potential and help create a massive network of future change agents in the fields of governance, public affairs, and policymaking.
The International Center houses sports complexes, gymnasium, lecture halls, research centers, food courts, education development center, training halls, living rooms, and training rooms. The center serves as a co-curricular hub for the students to explore the activities that can help them express themselves and build their confidence. Co-curricular activities are significant for enriching students on an emotional, cognitive, physical, and social level. Whether they focus upon sports, arts, music, science, or other areas, such activities play a significant role in students' overall holistic development.
They also help develop leadership and communication skills, creativity, decision-making, and co-operation, service to the community, learning time management, organizational skills and commitments, stress relief, developing social skills and self-esteem, and discovering new talents, and enhancing students' overall personality. The International Center emphasizes the need for overall development for a student. It acts as a fertile land that allows the candidate to find within themselves their talent and allows them to work on it among other like-minded people so that these skills can bloom and contribute to building self-esteem and confidence. These two pillars are essential for any manager.
