I have been actively writing by interpreting and sharing Football Statistics and Analysis through my Facebook page EPL Statistics and blog EPL Statistics after I completed two strenuous years at IIM Lucknow. It's a work that I am always proud of since it's an amalgamation of two of my passions - Football and Analytics. There are 2 key challenges in this work,
- No free access to data or integrated data for budding Football Analysts
- Non-Availability of data visualization tools to be used with ease by Football Analysts
To address these two challenges, I have set up a plan and bought a domain STAT SCREAMER for the same. The first work of mine was to experiment a data visualization where any layman could play around with a dashboard to understand some key metrics of the Top Five European Leagues. The same is as below -
The dashboard below shows Goals Scored Per League Game versus Goals Conceded Per League Game of all the Top Tier League clubs from England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The filters in the right side helps you to select the country of your choice and observe. More a club name is closer to the vertical axis, more they are solid in defense. More a club is away from the horizontal axis, more they are lethal in front of the goal. For example, Liverpool is very far of from the horizontal axis hence they are more offensive and Roma is very closer to the vertical axis hence they are more defensive.

With more focus on data visualization and open data, I feel that this portal will enable many Football Analysts to produce more and more analysis of THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.
