employer are some difficult feats to achieve. But the value of the company
becomes unmatchable when it touches the lives of millions and becomes a
household name.
Such is a conglomerate known as the Aditya Birla Group. Started in 1857, Aditya
Birla Group continues to strive for excellence in all the major sectors for the last
165 Years. The proud factor for Aditya Birla Group is not just becoming the third
largest private sector conglomerate with revenue surpassing 44 billion dollars but
also its presence in the lives of the people of a nation as huge as India. Taking my
own example in the picture, my life has always revolved around the products
from Aditya Birla Group starting from the UltraTech cement on which my house
stands. The presence of fashion brands like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Van
Heusen, Peter England, to name a few, is massive and unmatched and something
every Indian takes pride in. Hindalco, one of the most famous industry name,
excels in producing a wide range of products from primary aluminium and roofing
sheets to alloy wheels and chemicals and thus playing a great contributor in
working for the betterment of lives of many Indians. Its Vodafone Idea subsidiary
is another such example to denote the strong reach of Aditya Birla group to
become a massive household name helping connect millions of people all across
the nation and creating its value in such a large number of lives.
As with any enterprise, there should be the right kind of people to perform the
work, people who have the same vision and motivation and the right direction in
creating abundant opportunities for the people are the main factors to reach the
top in the industry. Fortunately, Aditya Birla Group has those in abundance.

Challenges are part of everyone’s everyday life. They make us stronger and
without them, life becomes somewhat meaningless because we have nothing to
compare the good times to.
Challenges in one’s life can occur in any shape and form and thus, facing up to it is
key. One such challenge that I faced in my life occurred to me during my
corporate experience. Due to some personal issue, the team lead of my project
had to take leave for 6 months and thus she appointed me as a temporary team
lead with 10 team members. With excitement and nervousness, I took the role
and created plans so that the present project related developments get
completed effectively and efficiently along with the introduction of new
technologies to make the work a seamless process. Having an experience of 2
years and leading the team made one senior member of the team, having 6 years
of work experience, a little uncomfortable. This became a challenge for me as I
was not able to guide the team effectively and the work was not getting
completed efficiently. The situation became very confusing for me as I did not
want to confront the senior member with the thought of making the situation
more problematic. With the effort of making the situation normal and the work
going, I asked every junior member of the team to consult the senior person in
every issue being faced. I also started consulting him more often in guiding me on
how to lead the team and what efforts I should put in making the process more
effective. Seeing everyone valuing his experience and seeking guidance from him
made him realize his value and worth within the team. This decision helped me
overcome the issue I was facing and thus I was awarded the Star of the Quarter
award from the manager with special thanks to the senior member.
Such a challenge made me realize that facing up to problems and living through
them give us the experiences that make up our life.
