How to prepare for the QA questions in XAT 2025?
- Geometry and Number Systems are important and almost sure-shot questions for XAT. If you have not covered it in CAT and OMET prep, covering these two topics should be a priority.
- In previous years, XAT has asked questions revolving around clocks, trigonometry, basic statistics, Data Sufficiency, etc. These questions are mostly not covered for CAT. Clocks and DS are a part of SNAP and NMAT preparation. Small topics you should cover for XAT:
- Mean, Mode, Variance
- Base System
- Binomial Theorem
- Clocks
- Trigonometry (For those who have a strong hold on all the other topics)

How to prepare for the DI questions in XAT 2025?
XAT usually has 2 sets of Data Interpretation. It is similar to tables and chart topics of CAT. Out of the 2-3 sets your target should be to cover at least one. If the other seems too tricky, you can skip it for later and move to other questions. With the inclusion of an onscreen calculator from this year the calculation will also become easier.
- Solve DI Questions from PYQs (20216-2024). It will be more than enough if you have practiced for chart and table-based sets in CAT.
- Though the basics of CAT and XAT DI are the same, a few questions in XAT DI are inference-based.
XAT 2025 QADI: How many questions are required to clear the sectional cutoffs?
Many believe that XAT QA is tougher than CAT which might be true but you have the advantage of flexible attempts and no sectional limit. Out of the pool of 25+ questions, there will be around 15-18 doable questions. Seeing last year’s sectional cutoffs and Score Vs. Percentile you will easily meet the minimum requirements at 80% accuracy in these attempts. So even if quants are not your strong suit you can maximize your attempts in DM and VALR and target 10-11 correct attempts in the XAT exam.
Percentile | Marks |
