IDEA (now Vodafone Idea Ltd) which was initially named as Birla Communications Limited has been a very important part of my life. Idea was a synonym for a sim card for a very long period of time. My family, especially my father places a great amount of trust in Idea. From the time he had a phone i.e. around 2005 till now, there was only one company that he has used which is IDEA. The brand value that Idea created is something hard to match, doesn’t matters which company it competes with.
Being from a middle-class family and not from a big city, I always liked to shop from multi-brand stores. One of the first few outlets that we had in our city was of Pantaloons, where you could get all the variety of apparels you want. When I got a call from SCMHRD for further selection process all that I could think of was the formal wear that I need for interviews, and the first name that strikes my mind was Pantaloons or Peter England to be more precise. After starting my MBA journey, the value of ABG fashion retail has just grown for me day by day. There is not a single day now when I don’t use the products from ABG, which I think will continue for a long time with all the brands including Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, Forever 21, and Louis Philippe. The apparels come with both, brand value as well as a confidence booster for the person wearing it. Clothes build part of your confidence and we have all felt this confidence sometime or the other in our life.
