Ridhima Arora is a typical 90s kid who after a good board result was told by the well-wishers to opt for a B.Tech and then go for an MBA. While she was clueless why she opted for B.Tech like many engineers in our country, she looks at her MBA journey as a step towards starting her own business from scratch. A health scare to her father forced her to quit her corporate job and made her spend some time with him in the hospitals. It was here that she thought of a business idea that would not only become a success story but will pave the way for her passion of establishing a business of her own.
In this candid conversation with Purnangshu Paul, Ridhima takes us to the journey of how she used all her learning, stayed persistent and established a business that will go on to make a revenue of Rs. 1 crore in just one year. Founder of Namhya Foods, Ridhima understood the power of Ayurveda during her time with her father’s recuperation from liver cirrhosis. She found the gap in the health food industry and used her family’s traditional business, amalgamating it with her marketing knowledge. But, when things looked like they would soar, she faced the unprecedented lockdown last year. From there to growing multifold and establishing a business in a matter of months, Ridhima’s success story is indeed an inspiring one. Tell us in the comments below what you think about her story. Mention about these inspiring small entrepreneurs who made it big, whose stories you would want to know about and we might come up with a video for you.
