WAT checks a candidate’s ability to put their thought coherently and logically. Here one important thing is that if you try to put many thought processes in a small essay, which could make it multi-directional, and that essay may not convey a logical conclusion. It is advisable to limit 2-4 strong ideas in a 300 words essay. Usually, time given for WAT vary from 10-30 minutes, and the number of words required could be from 200-400 words (one side to one and a half side of an A4 size paper). Before you start to write the essay, give 2-5 minutes to make a mental picture of what you are going to write. Write your ideas in the rough work, select the top 3-4 ideas, and write it. Most importantly, finish writing 1-2 minutes earlier to recheck your essay before final submission. For idea generation, when you get the topic, look it with different perspectives, and consider the most immanent perspective to the topic.

As it is the saying practice makes perfect, write, and check it by yourself/ get checked by your friends/ mentor, it would improve your writing skills. Here are 65 WAT topics for you to practise!
