I would like to start by citing the recent change Aditya Birla Group has impacted with me with. It's the #filterthefuture campaign. This World Environment Day, Aditya Birla Group took a step towards cementing its commitment to sustainability by initiating conversations around our biggest fears about the environment, the air pollution. Aditya Birla Group has pledged to create artwork out of toxic air and to support the cause they have also planted over 1 million saplings across the group. The products by the group is being used by people for generations in the field of cement, fertilisers, financial services. Anything the people have ever needed, Aditya Birla Group has made it happen, be it the use of roads, living in buildings made by the biggest cement company in India. We name it, they do it.  Diving deep into the group, around 50% of Group revenues flow from overseas operations that span 34 countries in North and South America, Africa and Asia. One of the subsidiaries of ABG is Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL) which is India’s No. 1 lifestyle entity.  Its brand, Forever 21, has greatly influenced my purchasing pattern. It offers apparels in all sizes and designs keeping in mind the latest trends, which is affordable and within the budget of the middle-income group with accessories such as bags, shoes. In addition to Forever 21, ABG continues to have a growing performance in the formals segment. Van Heusen and Louis Philippe are trusted brands which offer a superior quality product. ABG has also partnered with the Vodafone Group to provide telecommunication services in India and around the world. Since it has a vast area of connectivity, it has helped to connect everywhere in India. Aditya Birla Group has impacted and touched each aspect of my life with it's products, it's services. I thank Aditya Birla Group for being what it is to me, as well as the nation.  I would like to talk about a challenge that I have recently overcomed in my life which impacted my last 1.5 years.  I am a B.Tech graduate and a fresher and was pursuing MBA since almost an year and a half which wasn’t easy due to so many ongoing college activities and internships in college, projects and academics and of course the weekly so many hours for preparation to get into a good B School. I wanted to get into post graduation just after my graduation and not after work experience as I thought I would have better prospects being a fresher, better chances, better opportunities and no baggage of working for a specific type of work profile, I thought what work ex guys would face. Only to find out that the best B Schools prefer students with work experience. This didn’t let me stop from my preparation. I worked hard to cover for those extra marks that work ex guys score by securing a better percentile, which would account for things to go my way. My confidence was again shattered knowing that the best B Schools have good amount of marks for work ex guys over freshers. I wouldn’t say my decision was corrupted with these thoughts and so go for a job. But the passion of completing and competing with people over my caliber and skills, I worked even harder.
I was faced with a question while preparing that outside India mostly people are selected into MBA colleges only after work ex, so maybe there is an upside to this after all. But I thought that Indian curriculum is harder and people are much more competitive in numbers and also in skills in India. So the trend outside India shouldn’t affect my thoughts and preparation as that didn’t matter to me. I think that was my daring to disturb the trend I would say.
Giving MBA exams whilst during my college exams was a bit of a tedious task as my graduation percentage shouldn’t suffer because graduation exams are my only shot. MBA shot could have been delayed but if college exams had taken a downtown, it would all be for nothing.
I landed IMT Ghaziabad’s call for selection which is famous for it’s marketing, the stream I was aspiring for. The B School known for more number of work ex guys again shivered my confidence. But I had my reasons, my answers prepared as to why I would be a better choice over a work ex candidate. They shaked me that I wouldn’t be a good fit unless I work on my skills in the professional world but I was ready to say that the internships and projects and work I have done all through my graduation college qualifies me not to hold back.

Aditya Birla Group (ABG) provides these values in its products. In spite of having a presence in 14 different industries, ABG has been able to continue to work with integrity, commitment and zeal. Belonging to Gen Z, ABG has contributed significantly in my life. Its brand, Forever 21, has greatly influenced my purchasing pattern. It offers apparels in all sizes and designs keeping in mind the latest trends, which is affordable and within the budget of the middle-income group. It also provides accessories such as bags, shoes and jewellery to compliment the apparels it offers. In addition to Forever 21, ABG continues to have a stellar performance in the formal apparels segment. Van Heusen and Louis Philippe are trusted brands which offer a superior quality product. I make my formal wear purchases from these brands, whenever required. These brands thus add value to my professional life as well.
