Pooja lost her father when she was just 10. She suddenly was now a part of a family with three women. Things went south financially as Pooja’s mother was a housewife and there was not much to bank on. With an elder sister, who was not old enough at the time to earn for the family, it was difficult for the family. In our REAL STEEL series, powered by Tata Steel, we have Pooja’s story for you today.

Pooja was always in the dilemma of whether to opt for a job and support her family after her undergraduate degree or go for higher studies. It was a tough choice but with the support of her older sister who was by that point taking care of the family and scholarships she bagged for herself, studying further was always on the cards. The biggest boost although was the support from her mother. She always believed in Pooja’s capability and supported her to go chase her dreams.
With hard work and passion to do better, Pooja cracked her B-school exam and successfully converted one of the premier institutes IIM Kozhikode. Currently pursuing her MBA from IIM K, Pooja is determined that she would land up in a company where she would be able to work with all her heart.
At Tata Steel, fighting spirits like Pooja are given a space to grow and chart a brighter future for themselves.
Tell us in the comments section below what you think about Pooja’s story and her fight to make a different life with an MBA.
