Meet Ratula Bandyopadhyay, an English Literature graduate from Presidency College, Kolkata. Ratula decided to pursue an MBA during her college 2nd year and started giving a serious thought during her content writing stint. It was during that time, her love for marketing grew. Ratula started preparing for CAT and managed to score a percentile that got her a seat in IIM Kozhikode. In this video, she talks about her strategy for each section and how she prepared for mocks.

Since Ratula is an IIM Kozhikode convert, we can’t reveal her percentile. It is against IIM K policy. Sorry, for the inconvenience. In this video, Ratula tells us the highlights of her MBA prep strategy. She was great at VARC, okay in QA, but abysmal in DILR. Hence, she shaped her CAT prep accordingly. She talks about how she just stuck to test prep material for VARC, jotted down the basic formula for Quants and did a 5 hours mock analysis for DILR. If you want to know what kind of dedication and perseverance is needed to crack the CAT in the remaining 3 months, this one's for you.

Key Takeaways
- Everyone has at least one strong section. So, there is always one thing you don’t need enough prep for. You just need to give sectionals and polish the weaker part.
- Set a target you want to achieve in each section. If, your target is just to sail through in a weaker section, dropping difficult and low scoring topics can help you out. - You should first aim for the b-school you want to study in and then structure your prep.
- No one strategy fits all.
- Use a test series that goes with your prep plan. Choosing an extra difficult test series will not help you and end up demotivating you.
- Just 2 hrs of mock analysis will not do the trick.
