Ashish hails from Hisar, Haryana, and owing to his interest in businesses, he took up Commerce as his preferred stream. In his undergraduate, he organized 50+ academic events and led a department of 1800+ students as the President. Currently, he's a PGP2 student at IIM Indore and recently completed his internship with TAS wherein he was working with the strategy team of Infiniti Retail (Croma). He is also into racquet sports whether it be badminton, squash, etc., and is a big-time follower of Hatha Yoga
Ashish took the lead on a significant project during his internship with TAS, where he recommended top priorities for Cromas self-serve channels. In addition to market landscaping and secondary research, he initiated customer interviews to gain a rational customer perspective. This experience broadened his understanding of the issue and emphasized the importance of considering various stakeholders' perspectives when making decisions as a professional.
He developed leadership skills during his MBA by focusing on injecting his vision into team members. The program provided a logical understanding and structuring of problem-solving, and his involvement in various teams, including academic groups and fest organizations, further honed his leadership abilities. Ashish envisions applying these skills in a professional setting by identifying problems in dynamic business environments, providing logical solutions, and facilitating smooth communication among stakeholders for effective implementation.
Ashish plans to leverage his MBA skills, including a deep understanding of business, interpersonal communication, leadership, and teamwork. He emphasizes diligence, learning from past experiences, and taking actions and initiatives for stakeholder welfare as specific values he brings to a company.
His preferred industry is consulting, and he aspires to work for major consulting firms globally. Ashish sees himself as a good fit for consulting due to his flexibility in adapting quickly to different situations. His internship experience involved working on multiple projects, showcasing his ability to deliver above expectations in a short span.
Ashish describes his approach to teamwork as a controlled laissez-faire environment, encouraging team members to voice their ideas and opinions. He cites an example from his undergrad days where he led a team in fundraising, adopting a collaborative approach that resulted in bringing 40 sponsors on board and sponsorships worth over Rs. 10 lakhs.
He believes he deserves to be one of the Most Employable MBA Graduates - Class of 2024 due to his varied work experience, leadership roles, academic excellence, and ability to add value in different departments. Ashish's accomplishments, including spearheading B2B expansion in a startup and leading a department of 1800+ students, highlight his managerial and leadership capabilities.
