Ayushi Rawat comes from the lovely mountains of Uttarakhand. The things that define her life are great friends, mountains, and inquisitive nature. She has always been academically disciplined both in school and college. After completing her schooling, she did engineering in Electronics & Communication where she was a part of an initiative to solve the transportation problem in her college. This also got her interested in management, but she planned to do an MBA after gaining a year's experience in corporate. So, she started her corporate journey at a semiconductor chip solutions company. Shortly after that she switched her field and took a job in an advertisement & performance marketing firm. The biggest highlights for her in the year 2022 was getting selected as a judge for NASA's Astrobee evaluation and co-founding her venture The Colour Tales. Finally, she cracked CAT and joined IIM Calcutta. Her experience at IIM C has been full of learning because of the multiple case competitions that she took part in. She was also awarded Rank 19 in the Forbes Top 100 Unstoppable B-School Leaders 2023 owing to her wins in multiple corporate and college case competitions. She also secured PPIs/PPOs at HUL, Amazon and Godrej Capital for her summers and later went on to join HUL for Summers. Apart from all this, she finds comfort in papercraft, trekking, and playing badminton. Ayushi Rawat's leadership shines through her summer internship project at HUL, where she led consumer connects to understand their pain and delight points related to a specific product. Balancing project delivery, stakeholder management, and logistics demonstrated her professionalism. Facing challenges, such as conducting face-to-face consumer connects in scorching heat, provided Ayushi with valuable insights into the reality of consumer interactions. Learning from peers, she embraced the importance of seeing the bigger goal and focusing on the larger purpose. Ayushi's leadership skills further developed through participation in corporate and college case competitions. These experiences taught her how to work under pressure, make precise decisions, and manage teams effectively within tight time constraints. The pragmatism gained in case competitions has made her a better team manager, emphasizing the importance of making quick decisions and maintaining focus on goals. In her future career, Ayushi plans to leverage her creative and practical mindset to bring a new perspective to organizations. Recognizing the need for strategic problem-solving in the current business landscape, she aims to contribute sustainable solutions through her unique skill set. With a preference for the marketing industry, Ayushi sees herself as a good fit due to her creative and practical mindset, along with her ability to connect with people. Having previous experience in marketing and an internship in the same domain, she brings a unique advantage in terms of experience and skills. Ayushi's approach to teamwork involves listening to others, giving due weight to their opinions, and ensuring that collective goals are understood by everyone. Collaboration, according to her, should lead to collective rewards and milestones, fostering a sense of ownership among team members. Ayushi believes she deserves to be one of the Most Employable MBA Graduates - Class of 2024 due to her hard work, overcoming challenges, and the lessons learned along the way. She aspires to be a role model for those who may be held back by self-doubt, demonstrating that achieving dreams, studying at a prestigious institution like IIM Calcutta, and landing a dream job are indeed doable.
