24 | There were 5 passages - All of them had similar word limit (around 550-600 words each).
The passage on British Colonialism was tough to read as well as tough to answer. Many chose to not attempt the RC altogether.
On the contrary, the RC on Shifting of Capitals was a breezy read and was easy to solve as well.
Other RCs on Ecology, Languages in Egypt and on History, Art & Museums were of Easy to Moderate level of difficulty. |

The level of difficulty of QA was between that of CAT 2017 and CAT 2018. There were a high number of questions from Arithmetic and Algebra. It is evident from both the slots that there were extremely few questions from Numbers.
A 99%ile in QA would be anywhere between 57 and 60 marks.

The slot 2 paper was very much similar the last two years papers with a few differences. The overall paper, however, can be considered similar the paper of CAT 2018 (in terms of marks).
VARC : The VARC section difficult as compared to the last year. Students reported that there were at least one or two passages which were difficult to understand and the questions also were very much of the critical reasoning variety. The VA section however was, the students felt, doable.
DILR : The DILR section was on the easier side as compared to the last two years. Though there were tricky sets, there were at least couple of sets that could be easily done if one were careful in the paper.
The 99 percentile for the DILR section could be closer to 46 or 48.
QA : There were many Arithmetic questions which were straight forward, as per the
The cutoff for QA section hence may go up by a few marks and the 99 percentile could be closer to 57 to 60.
The overall 99 percentile for slot 2 (without scaling) could be around 153 to 157 marks. Expect detailed analysis from Career Launcher by 9 pm. Join this webinar
