Based on feedback from students, the VARC section emerged as the toughest of the lot, though the level of difficulty of all three sections varied slightly across slots. CAT 2021 Slot 2 Analysis | IMS Predicts 99%ile At Overall Score of 92 Marks
As per experts at IMS, the VARC section of the second slot was slightly tougher than that of the first slot. The DILR section was relatively easier as compared to last year, and the QA section was of medium difficulty level. CAT 2021 Slot 2 Analysis | Afternoon Slot Slightly Tougher Than CAT 2020, As Per TIME
As per experts at TIME, the difficulty level for CAT 2021 in the afternoon slot was slightly on the higher side compared to that of CAT 2020 overall. In the VARC section, RC passages were lengthy and did not make for an easy read, while the verbal ability questions were a shade easier than the RC passages. The DILR section of the afternoon slot was at least as difficult as that of the papers last year. There was a good mix of easy, moderate and difficult questions making selection of questions important in the QA section.

CAT 2021 Slot 2 Analysis | 97-98 Marks Enough For 99%ile, As Per Career Launcher
As per experts at Career Launcher, the CAT 2021 VARC section of Slot 2 continued to be slightly tricky in terms of the questions asked, making it similar to CAT 2020. The DILR section was similar in difficulty to what was seen in Slot 1. Contrary to expectations, the QA section of CAT 2021 Slot 2 was slightly more difficult than QA of Slot 1. Overall, CL predicts that a score of ~97-98 marks will be enough for a 99 percentile.
