Here are some of my crazy batch-mates at IIM Raipur:
Navin -
I was lucky enough to have Navin from the same college, same coaching and also ending up in the same room. As a student from Delhi University, its becomes mandatory to leave a mark. So let's hear a story how Navin left a mark. We have an exercise called elevator pitch to introduce ourselves in 30 seconds. He literally went into an elevator which already had a senior girl. He said,” Hello, I am Navin Kumar, from Delhi, did my graduation from economics (Hons.) from Delhi University, also a fresher”. The girl was stunned to hear. After that, he asks “Your valuable feedback for my elevator pitch exercise would really be helpful”.
Garvika -
Coming from a science background, I have never seen a girl as cool as Garvika. Ever heard of to and fro motion in physics? If not, then just swim the internet or see Garvika. This girl never stands still, she is always in motion. Once in an auditorium, I asked her, “Can’t you stand still for a minute?” She answers “Yaar, what can I do. Mosquitos are addicted to me.”
Akansh Vashney -
Whenever you hear about any economics (Hons.), the first thing that definitely flashes is a person with spectacles, serious and studious. In some way or the other, you are correct. But let me introduce you to a character which proved me a wrong. His name is Akansh Vashney. If you are feeling low or want something spice for a moment, just be around him; he will give you no reason to be sad. In his first class, he did an act for selling "balam khira- peet k lie hira”,
Aasabh -
We had a city meet in Gurugram and I met him there. Judging by his physique, he looks like an IT guy with a smile on his face. After coming to college, on the very first lecture he did something which was never expected in the class of professor PRS Sharma, that is he slept as comfortably as a baby could sleep. From that day he is the most seen guy in class. At any point in time, anybody in our class would see him sleep and which ultimately led to this conclusion. The frequency of seeing Aasabh sleepy is much more than the frequency of seeing a professor.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would like to join Aditya Birla Chemicals. I come from the field of chemicals and did my graduation in chemistry(Hons.) from Delhi University, so this will help me to practically use my knowledge of graduation and managerial skill which I learnt in my MBA in IIM Raipur in the company to become a good manager. Also, Aditya Birla Chemicals is committed to protecting the environment.
