Darshi had difficulty from the very beginning to see things clearly. Along with the problem in her vision, she could not differentiate colors from a young age as well. Things became difficult while she was growing up because coping up with the world asks you to be at your best game. But, Darshi never gave up!
Meet Darshi Vasavada, Manager Procurement (Transportation) at Tata Steel, who after pursuing her MBA from IIM Indore wanted to get into an organization that treats her equally. A firm believer of inner strength, Darshi has taken up challenges head-on in her life so far and works at the procurement department of Tata Steel. She describes her day to day challenges at the workplace, friends she has made in the process and the feeling of comfort she feels at her current workplace.
Darshi believes that you should not treat someone differently because they have some physical challenges and this is how she had perceived her workplace to be. When she interned with Tata Steel, her belief in the values followed by the steel giants was cemented and she wanted to be part of the organization.
Darshi got a PPO from IIM I to Tata Steel and for more than 3 years she has been allotted to different roles within the organization that involves different stakeholders. With her focus set in mind, Darshi wants to achieve her goals with the steel giants in the country with every single project she takes up in the future.
