Through its legacy of excellence, DMS, IIT Delhi continues to achieve new accolades in the Business world.  DMS, IIT Delhi bagged 5th place in the NIRF MBA ranking among India's top business and management colleges. The ranking is attributed to DMS’ comprehensive curriculum, research pedagogy, excellent faculty, brilliant placement records, world-class facilities, and experiential and process-oriented learning.

The NIRF ranking is based on various metrics like "Teaching, Learning and Resources," "Graduation Outcomes," "Research and Professional Practices," "Outreach and Inclusivity," and "Perception." The Department highly emphasizes experiential and process-oriented learning. Educational approaches such as heavy use of Harvard case studies (HBS), simulation exercises, industry-oriented project work, and eight weeks of summer project work are used to promote the same. The process-oriented learning is further enhanced by Global Field Studies (GFS), which students undertake for their projects. Besides honing individual decision-making abilities, sufficient attention is placed on developing team skills and decision-making skills.
