Ellora Nath was like many other Indian students who opted to do engineering. Having a knack for science, she got into BITS Pilani, Goa, and from there moved on to becoming a Developer for eBay. In this video, she talks briefly about why she did engineering and gives us her experience as a Developer working for eBay. She talks of how her first job gave her a much-needed perspective that ultimately led her towards her career as a Product Manager. However, it didn't all happen overnight.

Ellora was clear she wanted to work before she did any sort of MBA. Starting off as a Developer, her stint at eBay included tasks such as figuring out how to mine data faster for Tableau Dashboards, to being a part of the team that launched the live auctions feature. While she was just a developer back then, the experience was quite insightful. She even talks of how working in an MNC helped her grow through the many mentors that she had, and the opportunities that she seized. Lastly, she touches upon the ISB Young Leaders Programme, and why she finally decided to do an MBA. She even talks of how her time at BITS and eBay played a role in her decision-making process. This is part 1 of Ellora Nath's full interview. You can watch Part 2 here: My Experience At ISB, Practo Ft. Ellora Nath, ISB Alum This is a new series of talks that we are doing amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the lockdowns and the curfews, we are making all the efforts to ensure that you keep getting insightful and relevant content. So sit back and make the most of your social distancing with this episode of ‘Konversations in Quarantine'!

Key Takeaways:
1. Working in MNCs provides you with extraordinary mentorship.
2. How much you diversify on campus will help you develop your skills and make you job-ready.
3. The internship between your college and your first job is what sets you up for your career.
4. You don't do an MBA to figure out. You need to be clear about why you're doing an MBA. Do your research before you start your MBA.
